My AC unit was not blowing cold air so scheduled a technician from Boston Standard come for a diagnostic on 7/23/24. The technician said it was a faulty capacitor but he did not have a spare part to install that day. He removed the capacitor to test and put it back. I had a different company come to look at the unit today. They said that the wires on the capacitor were placed in the wrong spot and that would have caused damaged to my compressor. I’m waiting for a quote from the new company but it is going to cost me at least $3,000 dollars to repair the damage Boston Standard has done!
Update- They came and inspected the compressor and said it was hard to prove they caused it. They offered to refund the $49 diagnostic fee but never did. I do not recommend Boston Standard Company.
I ended up having to replace the entire thing with a different company. Save your money and time and go with someone else.
