I woke up recently to my water heater not working. I called Boston Standard and they told me it would be $190 to get someone out for a quote. When the tech was at my house he told me a diagnostic of the system would cost $477 and without it he couldn’t give me any information about my unit. Panicked and rushed I signed off on the work. I proceeded to get FIVE more quotes from other reputable firms that charged me a combined $0 for a quote. In hindsight I feel completely taken advantage of. Had Boston Standard been my 2nd or 3rd call I would have never agreed to any fee as it seems completely out of the norm. A complete waste of money and would not recommend.
