Our air conditioner’s air handler had a fuse blow on multiple occasions and we had Boston Standard come out to look at the unit. The air was kept at 65 degrees to make sure that the ac would not blow. A technician, Nate came in and looked at the unit and stated it should be at 70 degrees. I took that as his answer and paid the $159 for his visit. The condenser on the room wasn’t checked as well. Nate stated if there was still an issue then someone would come out to us at no charge. We started to use it at 70 degrees as recommended and the fuse kept blowing again. We called Boston Standard again and they stated it would be another $159 for a technician to come out. When I informed them that it wasn’t handled the first time the person who answered the phone named Michelle got very rude and stated it would still be another $159 for a second visit. We asked for a supervisor and Michelle stated they had all went home when the time of the call was 4:30 pm. Michelle refused to answer our questions and hung up on us. We were definitely displeased with the service and would never use Boston Standard again. It was a total scam.
